EE&T Thesis Poster Competition

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Download the file containing the poster on the left  for School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications.
  • Unzip the file eeposter2005.zip to a directory (e.g. c:\temp\eeposter) on your PC
  • Select Start -> Settings -> Control Panel and then double click on the Fonts icon, a Fonts window will appear on the screen.
  • In the Fonts window, select Files -> Install New Font... and a Add Fonts window appears on the screen.
  • In the  Add Fonts windows, select the folder  c:\temp\eeposter
  • When the List of fonts: appears, click on Select All tab and then click OK. When prompted with message: The XXX(TrueType) font is already installed. To install a new version first remove the old version, click OK.
  • Now you can open EEPOSTER.ppt using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • The poster is designed for A0 size. To print to A4 sizes, select File->Print->Properties and then select A4 paper size. You also need to choose the option scale to fit paper in the Print dialogue box.
    NB: Please do not change the Page Setup. The Slides sized for: inside Page Setup must remain at Custom.
  • The final printout of your poster should be in A2 size and in color.
  • You must adhere to the format in the PowerPoint template (e.g. fonts and background should not be altered.). You can, of course, change the text content and figures in the template.
  • For your final printout, you can utilize the EPSON Color Ink Jet Printer in the EET School Office (G1). You are only allowed one print .

To get your final poster printed out, follow the steps below:

  1. Print out your poster in A4 on a laser printer and make sure you are satisified with the format and contents of your poster and the poster is error-free.
    NB: You must include your supervisor's name in the poster.
  2. Please submit your posters at the URL http://scoff.ee.unsw.edu.au/thesis/thesis_poster/login.html. No posters will be accepted via email. If you have any queries, please contact Andrew (jiongan@ee.unsw.edu.au).
